My Jumps Season 2015-16….Final Day

Hello.

First, congratulations to Richard Johnson, a truly worthy winner of the Jockeys Championship, with 200+ winners this season and over 3000 in his career to date. An outstanding jockey!

Second, it’s great to have a final day with it being touch and go as to which trainer, Willie Mullins or Paul Nicholls, is Champion Trainer this year. In fact, it may come down to Nicky Henderson’s brilliant Sprinter Sacre. If he maintains his Cheltenham form and wins he may hand the title to Paul.

Some tips….

Sandown

Oaksey Chase….Grade 2….MENORAH….may deny Valseur Lido a win for Willie Mullins; lightly raced this season

Celebration Chase….Grade 1….SPRINTER SACRE….if he maintains form he is clearly the best

Gold Cup Chase….Grade 3….THE YOUNG MASTER….well weighted, competitive; hope Southfield Theatre goes well for Paul Nicholls

Good luck.

Perfect blog raceday!
To see Sprinter Sacre’s majestic win, unbeaten this season and probably the greatest two mile chaser we’ve ever seen.
To see Menorah tough it out to win under Richard Johnson, presented with the Champion Jockey trophy after the race.
And to see The Young Master, ridden by Sam Waley-Cohen in the colours of the great Long Run, at last taking a well deserved big prize again.
And finally, almost – well done to Paul Nicholls, Champion Trainer in a very tough season for him.

And what of my 2015-16 betting season?
Profit or loss?
Well, I backed 29 winners and made an overall profit of 10% on all money bet!
I’ll settle for that!
Better than an ISA!

Thanks for reading.
